Harajuku is a colorful fashion style in Japan. I transformed a “Game developer” Barbie doll to a Harajuku girl. Her name is Ayaka which means “colorful flower’ in Japanese. I think this name really suits her new style:)
I removed the original red hair. To reroot her head I used two different colored nylon hair and I went along the center part, so you can make pigtails for the doll. You can use hot tools to style her hair.
I sanded and carved her body and I added some feminine parts as well. I repainted her face with high-quality pastels and watercolor pencils. To decorate her face I painted blue, yellow and hot pink stars and dots. In the end, I fixed my work with a spray sealant.
She will arrive in the dress, headband, stockings which are all handmade by me. The dress and the headband is decorated with tiny fruit clay slices. She will bring a pair of shoes as well.
